Lebić - The Evil Witch
The Lebić is one of the most unpleasant winds of the Adriatic mainly because many harbours and coves are exposed to it. The Lebić is a wind that blows from the southwest, and in some places they call it the Garbin or Grbin.
It blows during a cloudy sky and is followed by rain or short showers, and during sailing it is especially unpleasant because it raises great waves which clash with those that remain after the Jugo.
It most frequently blows along the western coast of Istria, and it is mandatory to take shelter from it along the coasts exposed to the open sea.
