Island Brač & Bol
This is the largest Dalmatian island and the third largest island in the Adriatic. With Vidova gora peak reaching 778 metres above sea level, Brač is also the highest of the islands. If you were to look at the island from a birds-eye view, or as photographed in any guide book, you would recognise Brač by its trademark – the pebble beach Zlatni Rat in Bol. This is one of the most beautiful beaches in the world and the largest coastal attraction on the whole Adriatic. Bol is the island’s oldest coastal settlement and a well-known seaside resort. It is located on the south side of the island, where there are several well-managed campsites, allowing all campers to discover why this particular place has won so many tourist accolades and plaudits.
Pick a day of your holiday to go to the summer top destination – island Brač and its famous beach Zlatni rat. Island Brač is also famous for its beautiful stone (White house in USA).
First stop is in village Milna, deep and picturesque village, for a coffee break. It has been harbouring sailors since the times of emperor Diocletian. That is why it is called sailing paradise.
After one hour of relaxing we are heading towards Sea Tunnels, used for military purposes during the Age of Napoleon. There are three kinds of tunnels. We are easily going to enter inside the biggest tunnel where you can make memorable photos.
Journey continues to the oldest town on the island, town Bol. In town Bol you can take time to visit stunning 15th century Dominican Convent Monastery.
After visiting Bol continue walking to the beach Zlatni rat, around 20 minutes.
Make sure you remember the image of the beach because next time you see it, it will not be the same. Its appearance changes depending on the direction of the wind and waves.

Tour description

Departure Location
Split – Matejuška pier, at the top of the pier under the flag, on address Trumbićeva obala
The city of Split is located in central Dalmatia and is the main city in this sub-region, which is attractive because of its diversity – islands, the coast, and the interior. All of them together, and each of them separately, are striking because of the beautiful nature, the quality services, and the opportunity to hold your business meetings, conferences, or incentives in a stimulating environment that has found the right balance between business and pleasure.

The Zlatni Rat (Golden Cape) is unique in the world. Like a tongue it stretches almost half a kilometre perpendicularly out into the sea. The tip of this famous beach is constantly changing under the influence of the waves and the sea’s currents. Measurements have shown that the beach is getting longer every year. The total surface area of the beach is 19,900 m2, whilst the forested part is 8,600 m2. The beach is 2 kilometres away from the centre of the village. The path the beach is paved and you can also reach Zlatni Rat by small boat or the little tourist train.

During communism in Croatia, Yugoslavian army bulit tunnels in the island connected with a sea. It was intended for safe harboring special forces submarines and smaller navy vessels! Tunnels have also preserved mechanism for hiding the entrance in case of attack or aerial scouting. Today tunnels along coast are used for safe harboring fishermans during sudden storms, and are visited by many tourists and military enthusiasts.
In this excursion you will be introduced with some of the most beautifull coves and locations on south side of our beutiful island, we will be visiting the military tunnel, where you will be introduced in its puropse and functioning. By the tunnels there is beautiful beach for a stop and recreation!

Milna or as the Venetians called it “Valle di mille navi” (the bay of a thousand ships) is located on the north-west side of the island. The welcoming bays of Milna have always been favourite port to sailors sailing through the Middle Adriatic. Milna is still reputed as the most beautiful and the safest harbour of Brač. The two highly equipped marinas in Milna offer high quality service even to the most demanding sailors. Stone houses along the beautiful long coastline are small masterpieces of plebeian architecture. In the village there is aslo a beautiful Baroque church with a typically Dalmatian bell tower. The interior of the church hides impressive works of Venetian masters. For years, Milna was known for its shipbuilding and the renowned Dalmatian boat “bracera” was first made here. Today, Milna is a popular tourist centre and a favourite nautical port. Besides historical sights, its scenic beauty and irresistible charm of a typically Dalmatian “small town”, Milna will enchant you with its healthy Mediterranean cuisine abundant in fresh fish, quality olive oil and home-made wines. If you like maritime sports, you can enjoy scuba-diving, sailing or fishing. Accommodation is offered in hotels, villas and numerous apartments. Curious explorers will be fascinated by nearby coves of Lučice, Osibova, or the Bobovišća harbour, the village of Ložišća and especially the small island of Mrdulja located at the entrance to the harbour.
